Designer Blake Hollis
6 years with Downeast Kitchens
"The creative aspect of kitchen and bath design is the most fun part-getting your ideas, talking to you to understand your perspective, and then working up a design that works for you. I have an art degree and training in architectural drafting and engineering, all of which helps me tailor solutions for each client.
I like to get a feel of what my customers are looking for by listening to stories they tell me about the experiences they've had working in the kitchen that they have currently, and what they feel works for them, as well as the things that they feel are needed in a new space. By helping my customers understand how they relate to the functions of the space, together we can create a kitchen, or even other spaces, that
they truly enjoy being in."
Blake has a varied educational background in the arts including study of architectural engineering, a bachelors degree in art, and training as an art educator. He has been a kitchen and bath designer for ten years, and he's happy to say that the six years he has been working for Downeast Kitchens have been the best years of his career; in large part due to the many fantastic customers he has worked with over the years and his exceptional co-workers.
"The work environment at Downeast is not only stimulating, but the interaction with the other members of our design team fuels the creative aspects that many of our customers have come to appreciate."
